Freshman/Sophomore Boys Basketball -- Dec. 16

MOUNT ZION -- Effingham captured a boys freshman/sophomore basketball victory over Mount Zion Monday evening, 42-35.

The Braves edged out to a 9-6 opening quarter lead and led 19-16 at halftime. But the Hearts came back with a 26-16 second half run to claim the win.

Kinkelaar scored 16 for the Hearts while G. Kinder added 10.
