Effingham St. Anthony handed Effingham a 59-23 loss in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Monday evening.

The Bulldogs ran out to a 17-2 opening quarter and never looked back, leading 39-9 at halftime.

Nine players scored for St. Anthony with two in double figures. Connor Storm scored 13 on five field goals and three of five at the line, while Cooper Sehy chipped in with 11 on five field goals, one a three-pointer.

Effingham was led by Cade Loew and Race Kinney with five points each.
