Neoga Girls Win Three, Boys Once at Mary Sur Shootouts

In girls action, Neoga downed Georgetown Ridge Farm, 60-38, stepping out to a 29-14 halftime lead.

Brynn Richards provided the scoring punch with 22 points while Atalie Osborn chipped in with 17.

In Saturday action, Neoga was a 58-31 winner over Okaw Valley. Once again Neoga took a 27-17 halftime lead and had a 31-14 second half run.

Richards scored 20 points on seven field goals and six of 10 at the line. Osborn, also finished with 20 on six field goals and eight of eight at the line.

The Indians then bounced Wayne City/Cisne to the tune of 53-19.

Neoga led 34-19 at halftime and had a 19-0 second half.

Richards again scored 20 points on six field goals and five of seven at the line. Osborn added 11 and Audrey Kepp 10.

Neoga is now 4-1 on the season and will play at Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg tonight.

In boys action Friday, Neoga was a 39-35 winner over Georgetown Ridge Farm.

Neoga trailed 12-10 after the opening quarter and 21-17 at halftime. Neoga came back with an 8-4 third quarter to tie the score at 25-25 then had a 14-10 final quarter for the win.

Carter Young led the winners with 10 points on four field goals, two from three-point range.

In Saturday's second game, Neoga fell to Nokomis, 39-20.

The Indians couldn't get their offense going, trailing 13-2 after the opening quarter. They had a 10 point second half.

Brayden Ray led with seven points.

In the final game, Cisne was a 55-40 winner over Neoga.

Cisne edged out to a 10-9 opening quarter lead and led 28-21 at halftime. Neoga couldn't get untracked in the second half as Cisne had a 36-19 run.

Landon Titus scored 13 points and B Ray added 11.
