Wooden Shoes Claim Third Place At Capital Classic

The Wooden Shoes downed Mount Carmel easily, 76-25 in Friday action.

T-town ran out to a 23-6 opening quarter lead and led 43-14 at hafltime.

Three players scored in double figures. Leading the way was Jake Bushur with seven field goals and one of two at the line for 15 points. Drew Hoene chipped in with 13 and Gavin Addis finished with 12.

T-town then took on Salem Saturday and captured a 57-20 victory. The Shoes again ripped out to a big opening quarter lead, this time, 20-4 and led 42-9 at halftime.

Mick Niebrugge led the way this time around with 16 points on seven field goals, one a three-pointer, and one of two at the line. Also in double figures was Alex Kremer with 13 points.

T-town then faced Fairfield in the third place contest and was a 60-41 winner.

The Wooden Shoes held a 19-14 opening quarter lead and pushed into a 34-22 halftime lead.

Addis led the way with 12 points on four field goals, one a three-pointer and three of four at the line. L. Thoele finished with 10.
