Teutopolis picked up a victory in girls seventh-grade basketball play but suffered a first loss in eighth-grade action against Paris Mayo Tuesday evening.

In the seventh-grade contest, the Wooden Shoes ran out to an 11-0 opening quarter lead and led 17-2 at halftime. They finished up with a 32-6 victory.

Meyer tallied 10 points while Probst had eight for the Shoes. T-town improved to 19-0.

In the eighth-grade game, Paris Mayo edged T-town, 28-26. Mayo held a 4-2 opening quarter lead then had a 10-4 second period run to lead 14-6 at halftime. T-town started a comeback in the third quarter to pull within 20-16 and had a 10-8 final quarter run but fell short.

Drees and S. Deters led the way for T-town with seven points each. The Shoes dropped to 18-1.
