EHS AD Thompson Will Coach Hearts B-Ball Team

Incoming Effingham High School Athletic Director Mack Thompson will also serve as varsity coach of the Effingham Hearts boys basketball team for the coming season.

Unit 40 Superintendent Andy Johnson said that even though he would rather the AD not serve as a varsity coach, Thompson was the best choice to coach the team.

Thompson has coached the Robinson Maroons for the past 13 seasons and won 200 games over that span, winning three regionals and posting four 20-win seasons. 

Thompson will succeed Obie Farmer as Hearts' coach.
