Parkland Drops Out of NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tourney

Parkland's stay at the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament came to a close with its second loss in consolation play Wednesday.

Parkland fell to Pima, 79-66.

The Cobras held a 23-21 opening quarter lead but Pima came back with an 18-4 second period run to lead 39-27 at halftime. Pima then pushed into a 62-43 lead in the third quarter. Parkland came back with a 23-17 final period run only to fall short.

Effingham High School graduate Lucy Fearday finished with five rebounds in the game for the Cobras and one steal.

Lake Land College will be taking on Harcum today at 2 p.m. in consolation play.
