Martin, Austin, Donaldson Reach All-Conference Teams

In girls basketball, Alyssa Martin and Bella Austin were named to the All-Conference First Team along with Denver Anderson (Mount Zion), Addison Tarr (Taylorville), Emily Maple (Mattoon) and Mazie Fleming (Taylorville).
Named to the Second Team from Effingham was Sidney Donaldson. Also chosen were Ella Conyers (Mattoon), Kyleigh Heimsness (Taylorville), Jocelyn Turner (Mount Zion) and Teyge Sewell (Mattoon).
Taylorville won the regular season Apollo Conference title with a 10-0 record followed by Effingham 7-3, Mattoon 7-3, Mount Zion 4-6, Mahomet-Seymour 2-8 and Charleston 0-10.
The boys teams were named. Members of the First Team were Lyncoln Koester (Mount Zion), JC Anderson (Mount Zion), Adam Rudibaugh (Charleston), Jackson Bohm (Mahomet-Seymour) and Bryce Jean (Mattoon).
Named to the Second Team were Brayden Trimble (Mount Zion), Landyn Hannah (Mahomet-Seyour), Sam Driscoll (Mount Zion), Andrew Etzel (Mattoon) and Luke Bonstetter (Charleston).
Mount Zion, who finished fourth at the Class 3A State Tournament, won the conference with a 10-0 record followed by Mattoon 7-3, Mahomet-Seymour 6-4, Charleston 4-6, Taylorville 2-8 and Effingham 1-9.
Also named was the All-Apollo Conference wrestling teams. Named to the First Team were: 106 -- Lukas Alstetter (Mahomet-Seymour), 113 -- Sydney Cannon (Mount Zion), 126 -- Justus Vrona (Mahomet-Seymour), 132 -- Brody Goonan (Mattoon), 138 -- Ben Capitosti (Mattoon), 144 -- Korbin Bateman (Mattoon), 150 -- Aidan Blackburn (Mattoon), 157 -- Gage Decker (Mahomet-Seymour), 165 -- Kaden Becker (Mount Zion), 175 -- Vincent Flore (Mount Zion), 190 -- Brock VanDeveer (Mahomet-Seymour), 190 -- Keller Stocks (Mount Zion), 215 -- Mitchell Clapp (Mattoon) and 285 -- Remington Hiser (Mount Zion).
