Illinois' offense opened up the throttle wide in the second half Wednesday night to defeat Minnesota 105-97 in Big 10 action. 

The Fighting Illini put up 57 points in the second half to go past the century mark for the first time in a regulation conference game since a 1994 win over Iowa. 

Terrence Shannon, Jr. led Illinois with 29 points. The Illini improved to 21-7 on the season and remain in second place in the conference race.
