Teutopolis lost its opener at the Class 8-3A State Boys Basketball Tournament Saturday.

The Wooden Shoes fell to East St. Louis Lincoln, 47-41 in overtime.

ESL Lincoln ran out to a 15-4 opening quarter lead and led 32-19 at halftime.

T-town mounted a big comeback in the second half. The Shoes had a 12-6 third period to trail 38-31 going into the final quarter.

T-town then continued on and took a 39-38 lead with 1:32 to play in the game. East St. Louis scored with five seconds left in regulation and sent the game into overtime. In the overtime period, Lincoln came back with a 7-1 run to pull out the victory.

T-town was led by Dylan Horn with 12 points and Jake Probst and Eric Weidner with 11 each.
