Wooden Shoes Beat Danville In Boys Basketball

DANVILLE -- Teutopolis High School took the early lead and went on for a 54-35 victory over Danville in boys basketball Wednesday evening.

The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 16-12 opening quarter lead on a three-point barrage. Garrett Gaddis, Alex Kremer, Joey Niebrugge and Mitch Koester each tallied a three-point basket bwhile Drew Hoene had four points.

The Shoes held a 24-17 halftime lead as J. Niebrugge again connected on a three-pointer.

T-town continued on with a 15-11 third quarter and finished out with a 15-7 final period.

J. Niebrugge was the lone player in double figures with 15 points on six field goals, two from three-point range, and one of two at the line.

The Shoes finished with eight three-pointers in the game led by Gaddis and J. Niebrugge with two each.

J. Niebrugge and Tyler Pruemer pulled down nine rebounds each.
