The Movin' Maroons tore out to a 21-15 opening quarter lead behind the scoring of Lucas Westendorf. Westendorf hit six field goals, one a three-pointer, for 13 of his team's 21 points. Caleb Gephart added a three-pointer.
Westendorf continued on with eight points in the second period while Gephart added six as the Maroons led 40-34.
Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville came back with an 18-15 third quarter to pull wtihin 55-52. Gephart added eight points while Westendorf chipped in with seven.
Dieterich then found the range again in the final period with a 22-14 run for the winning margin.
Westendorf led the way with 34 points on 14 field goals with five coming from three-point range and one of two at the line.
Gephart tallied 25 on nine field goals, three of those trifectas, and four free throws.
Also in double digits was Jaxon Funneman with 11 points.
Six players hit three-pointers for Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville with a total of 10 for the contest.
