T-town Falls In Panther Showcase

PINCKNEYVILLE -- Teutopolis fell to Centralia, 58-24 in the Pinckneyville Panther Boys Basketball Showcase Saturday.

Centralia, ranked 10th in the latest Class 3A state poll, took an 11-6 opening quarter lead and led 23-13 at halftime. The Orphans then went on a 20-6 third quarter run to put the game away.

Centralia was led by Dustin Collins with 15, Cruz Harlen with 12 and Daryle Jones with 10.

Teutopolis had one player in double figures. Garrett Gaddis led with 10 on three field goals, two of those from three-point range.

In other games, Chester defeated Cisne, 57-51; Greenville won over Sparta, 54-38; Mascoutah downed Carbondale, 53-40; Waltonville beat Triad, 60-45; DeSmet, Mo. edged Moline, 60-56 and Pinckneyville downed Waterloo, 46-30.
