Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City High School girls basketball coach Carolyn Wente got the chance to coach the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star 1A-2A South Team June 22 at Illinois Wesleyan Shirk Center. She got to choose an assistant coach and chose her sister, Donetta Ohnesorge who coaches the Dieterich High School girls basketball team.
CHBC's Micah Jones received the Most Valuable Player award. The South 1A/2A team beat the 1A/2A North Team with a score of 91 to 83.
"Let me tell you we all had a great time -- coaches included," said Coach Wendte.
