Effingham built a 12-8 lead after one quarter, extended the margin to 12 at 26-14 at halftime. Effingham led 38-25 after three quarters, but won by19, outscoring the Lady Shoes 15-9 in the final period.
Effingham shot 40% from the field, making 19 of 47 shots including five of 11 threes. Effingham made 10 of 16 free throws, grabbed 27 rebounds, and turned the ball over 15 times.
Teutopolis made 13 of 40 shots for 32% including two of 10 threes. The Lady Shoes made four of eight foul shots, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed 21 turnovers.
Bria Beals led Effingham with 14 points imcluded two three pointers Beals scored eight points in the fourth quarter. Alyssa Martin scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Bella Austin scored 10 points with five boards.
Chloe Probst led Teutopolis with 16 points.
Effingham improved to 22-4 on the season, while Teutopolis is now 17-8.
Effnigham won the JV game in overtime, 46-39.
