Area Teams Still Going Strong In State Boys, Girls Polls

In the boys polls, Effingham St. Anthony moved into the top spot at No. 1 in the Class 1A poll. The Bulldogs have a 15-4 record, received 123 points and was in second place last week.

Teutopolis is in the others receiving votes in Class 2A. The Wooden Shoes received five votes.

In the girls polls, Altamont moved up two spots from No. 7 to No. 5 in Class 1A. The Indians are 17-2 with 468 points and received one vote.

Effingham St. Anthony moved up from No. 9 to the No. 8 spot in the Class 1A poll. The Bulldogs have a 14-6 record with 19 points.

Brownstown/St. Elmo is in the others receiving votes with one point.

Teutopolis is in the others receiving votes in Class 2A with four votes.

Effingham moved into the Class 3A state poll with a 16-4 record and 11 points.
