The Mustangs won the seventh-grade encounter, 59-11. Effingham ran out to a 20-2 opening quarter lead and that was the game.
Joel Flach led the way with 10 points while Truett Pals and Kaden Rohr added nine each.
Altamont was led by Xavier Logue with five points.
In the eighth-grade game, Effingham established a 32-2 opening quarter lead and finished with a 64-16 victory.
Sam Waymoth led the Mustangs with 11 points while Carson Fox and Jenner Pals had nine each.
Altamont was led by Durbin with six points.

At Dieterich
Effingham Sacred Heart and Dieterich both picked up a victory Thursday evening.
Sacred Heart captured the seventh-grade win, 41-27. The Shamrocks stepped out to a 13-2 opening quarter lead and led 25-15 at halftime. Sacred Heart then had an 11-3 third quarter run.
Gabe Traub led the way with 16 points while Logan Schoenhoff added 12.
Dieterich was led by Bierman and M. Niemerg with nine points each.
In the eighth-grade contest, Dieterich came out a 63-27 winner. Dieterich held a 14-4 opening quarter lead and led 30-13 at halftime. Dieterich then had a 22-2 third period.
Ben Schottman led the winners with 19 points while Bryce Bohnhoff added 17.
Sacred Heart was led by Traub with 16.

At Effingham
Effingham St. Anthony claimed the seventh-grade contest over Shelbyville in Thursday evening action.
The Bullpups won 56-16. They took a 13-5 opening quarter lead and led 18-7 at halftime. Blake Verdeyen went on an eight point run in the third quarter as St. Anthony outscored Shelbyville 21-4.
Verdeyen finished with 14 points to lead the Bullpups.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony was a 31-27 winner over Shelbyville.
The Bullpups held a 6-2 lead after the opening quarter and led 11-8 at halftime. St. Anthony then had a 23-16 second half.
Jameson McAllister led the way for the Bullpups with three trifectas for nine points. Cooper Sehy chipped in with seven points.

Teutopolis tallied two victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes claimed the seventh-grade contest, 46-17, taking a 25-2 opening half lead.
Sam Probst and Anthony Mette led the winners with six points each as 14 players scored in the contest for the Shoes.
Stew-Stras led was by Weston Spannagel with five points. The squad dropped to 9-9.
In the eighth-grade contest, T-town was a 57-29 winner, leading 39-15 at halftime.
Jake Probst led the Shoes with 19 points while Dylan Horn added 13.
Stew-Stras was led by Joe Holland with nine points. The squad dropped to 11-6.
Stew-Stras is back in action next Thursday at Windsor.

Cumberland and Jasper County split victories Thursday evening.
Cumberland was a 38-32 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Cumberland held a 20-14 halftime lead. The two teams each scored five in the third quarter and 13 in the final period.
Colby Roedl led the winners wih 14 points while Clayton Shellenbarger added 10.
Jasper County was led by Chase Kistner with 11 points and he was the top defender. Brenden Emmerich and Hank Huber were the top rebounders. The team fell to 10-5.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County easily captured a 55-12 victory.
Jasper County held a 14-2 opening quarter lead and led 30-6 at halftime.
Three players hit double figures for the winners. Chance Mulvey tallied 12 while Maddox Horner and Ian Kessler added 11 each.
Top defender was Eli Wolf while Mack Huber was the top rebounder. The team improved to 13-2.
Cumberland was led by Jacob Pierce with six points.
