City, Area Girls, Boys Teams Listed In This Week's State Polls

Four area girls teams and three area boys squads are listed in this week's Associated Press high school basketball polls.
Two girls squads are listed in the Class 1A poll. Altamont received one vote and is listed in seventh place. The Indians are 13-2 on the season and have 32 points. They were listed as 10th in last week's poll.
Effingham St. Anthony is listed in ninth place. The Bulldogs are 11-6 on the season and received 22 points. They dropped from seventh place last week.
In the Class 2A poll, Teutopolis is ninth with an 11-4 record and 20 points. They were not in the poll last week.
Effingham is listed in the Class 3A state poll in the others receiving votes category with nine.
In the boys Class 1A poll, St. Anthony is in second place with a 13-4 record and 103 points. The Bulldogs were in fourth place in last week's poll.
Altamont is in the others receiving votes category with three votes.
Teutopolis is in the Class 2A others receiving votes poll with four votes.
