Wooden Shoes Hand Sages 57-44 Loss

Monticello took a 15-11 opening quarter lead as Ike Young connected for six and Raiden Colbert hit two three-pointers.

Garrett Gaddis scored eight of the Shoes' 11 points in that quarter behind two three-pointers and a regular basket.

The Shoes then got unwound to produce a 17-11 second period to lead 28-26 at halftime. Mitch Koester nailed a three-pointer and Tyler Pruemer scored six points.

T-town continued on with a 15-8 third period to lead 43-34 going into the final quarter. Gaddis added three baskets for six points and Logan Lawson connected on two three-pointers.

The Shoes hit 52.3 percent in the opening half and finished with 54.7 percent for the game.

Gaddis tallied 18 points to lead the way. He hit eight of 13 from the field. Also in double figures was Lawson with four of four three-pointers for 12.

T-town pulled down 26 rebounds while Monticello had 19. The Shoes were led by Pruemer with 11 and two assists. Also with two assists were Gaddis and Mitch Koester.

Both teams hit eight three-pointers each. Lawson led the Shoes with four three-pointers while Gaddis and Koester had two each.

The Shoes improved to 10-5 on the season while Monticello dropped to 6-8. T-town isn't back in action until Saturday at Warrensburg-Latham.

Teutopolis also claimed the junior varsity contest, 73-46. Drew Hoene tallied 16 points for the Shoes while Landyn Thoele had 12 and Jake Bushur 11.
