Windsor/Stew-Stras Finish Second at Tri-County Boys Tourney, C'land 10th At Vandalia

KANSAS -- Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg played for the championship of the Tri-County Boys Basketball Tournament Friday evening and fell, 77-36 to Lawrenceville.

 

Lawrenceville ripped out to a 22-10 opening quarter lead and led 52-20 at halftime.

Connor Manhart was the lone player for the Hatchets in double figures with 16. He connected on six field goals, four of those from three-point range.

Manhart and Jackson Gurgel were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Hatchets drop to 7-9 on the season. The Hatchets return to action Wednesday, January 3 at Neoga.

At Vandalia

Cumberland finished 10th at the Vandalia Holiday Boys Basketball Tournament Friday.

The Pirates fell to Pana, 51-28.

In the championship game, Shelbyville was a 67-44 winner over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran.

The third place game went to Vandalia over Greenville, 68-61. Nokomis won the fifth place game over Macon Meridian, 66-61 and Flora took seventh with a 75-54 win over Okaw Valley.
