Dieterich To Meet Sullivan For Tourney Boys Title

In the opening contest, Grayville downed Red Hill (Bridgeport), 73-60.

The second contest went to Arcola over Ramsey, 70-21.

In the third game, Grayville handed South Central a 60-43 loss. Grayville took a 13-9 opening quarter lead. Grayville held a 27-23 haltime lead then had a 16-10 third quarter run and outscored the Cougars 17-10 in the final period.

South Central was led by Callaway Smith with 21 points on nine field goals, three from three-point range.

Arcola then handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 64-28 loss. The Purpleriders took a 32-15 halftime lead and neve rlooke dback.

The Bobcats were led by Clayton Wojcik with 15 poitns on six field goals and three free throws.

Sulilvan then downed South Cnetral, 37-27. The Cougars held a 7-6 opening quarter lead but Sullivan came back with a 10-5 seonc dquarter run to lead 16-12 at halftime. South Central had a 14-10 third period run to knot the score at 26-26 going into the final quarter.

The Redskins then scored 11 points in the final quarter while holding South Central to only one point for the victory.

The Coguars were led by Max  Magnus with nine points on three trifectas.

In the final game of the day, Dieterich was a 62-32 winner over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.

The Maroons edged out to a 10-6 opening quarter lead then blew the game apart with a24-6 second period run.

Three players hit for double figures. Caleb  Gephart tallied 28 points on 11 field goals, five from three-point range, and one of two at the line. Landen Keck added 15 and Jaxon FUnneman 10.

CHBC was led by AJ Radloff with 14 points on six field goals and two of two at the line. Wojcik chipped in with 10.

The finals are scheduled for today. Ramsey faces South Central at 1 p.m. for seventh place while CHBC and REd Hill meet at 2:30 for fifth place.

Arcola takes on Grayville at 4 pm. for third place. Dieterich and Sullivan square off for the championship at 8 p.m.
