A few scores from recent contests:

(BOYS) Newton 52, Dieterich 50 (this game was close throughout. Newton led 17-13 after one quarter, and 30-26 at halftime. Dieterich pulled into a 40-40 tie at the end of three quarters, but Newton posted a 12-10 edge in the final quarter to gain the two-point victory. Newton featured balanced scoring, as Caden Nichols scored 16 points, Parker Wolf 15, and Grant Ochs 13. Also for Newton, Jacob Weber 5, and Gus Bierman 3. Dieterich's Lucas Westendorf led all scorers with 25 points, while Caleb Gephart was also in double figures with 10 points. Also for Dieterich, Landen Keck 8, Tanner Will 4, and Luke Wente 3. Newton improved to 9-3 with the victory)

(GIRLS) Windsor/Stew-Stras 59, Eisenhower 29 (the Lady Hatchets led 15-10 after one quarter, but a 17-4 second quarter made the real difference; W/SS outscored Eisenhower 38-12 over the middle two quarters; Ella Kinkelaar led the Lady Hatchets with 20 points, while Kendra Hayes scored 13 points and Samantha Hayes added 10 points. Also for W/SS: Ellie Wittenberg 6, Katelyn VonBehrens 5, Leah Kasey 2, Morgan Mathis 2, and Claire Holland 1)

(GIRLS) Windsor/Stew-Stras 71, Shelbyville 59 (OT) (In the final pool play contest at the ALAH Knights Christmas Tourney, the Lady Hatchets outscored the Lady Rams 19-9 in the final quarter to force overtime, then posted a 15-3 extra period to gain the win; Ella Kinkelaar scored 26 points to lead W/SS and Kendra Hayes scored 17 points. Also for W/SS: Katelyn VonBehrens 9, Ellie Wittenberg 7, Samantha Hayes 7, and Morgan Mathis 5)

(GIRLS) ALAH 56, Windsor/Stew-Stras 49 (for W/SS, Ella Kinkelaar 14, Sam Hayes 13, Kendra Hayes 12, Ellie Wittenberg 5, Morgan Mathis 3, and Cameron Carey 2; Of the tournament championship game, Lady Hatchets Coach Brian Lee said, "We played hard, but just ran out of juice after a full day. Proud of the determination and grit that we continue to play with every day. A big thank you to all of the fans who showed up to support us this weekend." Lee added, "the Lady Hatchets have participated in the ALAH Knights Classic since our inaugural 2015-16 season. This was the first time we made it to the championship game. Our biggest previous finish was fourth place." Ella Kinkelaar, Sam Hayes and Kendra Hayes were selected to the All-Tournament Team)
