CHBC Victorious, BSE Falls In Girls Basketball

The Vandals held a 19-13 opening quarter lead and led 30-19 at halftime.
But, here came the Bobcats. CHBC went on a 24-10 run to move ahead 43-40 going into the final quarter. CHBC then finished out with a 15-12 tally for the final six-point winning margin.
Karlee Smith, Macee Rodman and Baya Fingo finished in double figures for CHBC. Smith led the way with seven field goals and a free throw for 15 points while Rodman added 14 and Fingo 10.
Rodman and Ruby Stuckemeyer led in rebounds with nine each. Rodman had five steals and five assists. Stuckemeyer led in blocks with 10.
CHBC also was a winner in the junior varsity contest, 35-26. Madison Dawson led the winners with 11 points while Ines Saez-Ferrer added 10.
The Bobcats junior varsity sports a 6-1 record.

At Casey
Casey-Westfield played host to Brownstown/St. Elmo and picked up a 53-44 win Tuesday evening.
The Warriors edged out to a 17-15 opening quarter lead. Dayana Haslett led the way for BSE with two three-pointers while Presley Williams added a three-pointer. Lexi Seabaugh had four points.
Both teams tallied eight points in the second period and Casey-Westfield held the two-point lead, 25-23.
BSE came back with a 16-13 third period to push ahead 39-38. Seabaugh scored six points while Day. Haslett added five.
But the Warriors went on a 15-5 final quarter to claim the victory.
BSE was led by two players in double figures. Seabaugh led the way with six field goals and two of two at the line for 14 points while Day. Haslett added 13 on five field goals, two from three-point range, and one of two at the line.
