The Cougars edged out to a 12-9 opening quarter lead behind Max Magnus who connected on a three-pointer and a regular basket and Callaway Smith who hit a three-pointer.
The lead went to 28-21 at halftime as Magnus continued on with five more points while Kage Hiestand had five and Westin Neilson hit a three-pointer.
South Central had a 15-13 third period, again with five points from Magnus and seven from Seth Bergmann.
The Cougars finished out with a 13-12 final quarter as Magnus hit a basket and was five of six at the line.
Magnus tallied 22 points on seven field goals and five of six at the line. He was the lone player for the Cougars in double figures.
South Central also won the junior varsity game, 41-34 and claimed a freshman/sophomore contest, 27-19.
