TOLEDO -- Teutopolis moved into the championship game of the Class 8-3A Cumberland Girls Basketball Regional after claiming a victory Tuesday evening.

The Wooden Shoes took on Jasper County and edged out to a 6-3 opening quarter lead. T-town pushed that to 15-9 at halftime then had a 14-6 second half and won by a 29-15 count.

Addison Meyer led the Shoes with nine points while Taylor McMahon chipped in with eight. T-town improved to 16-6 on the season.

Jasper County was led by Bergbower with eight points.

In the opener, Paris Mayo edged Robinson Nuttall, 24-22.

Teutopolis will now face Paris Mayo at 6 p.m. today for the regional championship and a berth in the Pana Sectional Wednesday, December 6.

Class 8-2A Edwards County (Albion) Regional

Altamont won the championship of the Edwards County Regional Tuesday.

Altamont handed North Clay (Louisville) a 31-25 loss.

North Clay ends the season with a 15-6 record.

Altamont advances to the Effingham St. Anthony Sectional Wednesday, December 6 and will take on either Stewardson-Strasburg or Paris Crestwood at 6 p.m. Those two teams play tonight at 6 for the championship of the Casey-Westfield Regional.

 

Other Regional Championships Tonight

-- Sigel St. Michael and Pocahontas will square off for the Class 8-1A Sigel St. Michael Regional at 6 p.m. 

-- Mount Zion and Taylorville square off for the championship of the Class 8-4A Effingham Regional tonight at 6.
