Richland County took a 12-7 opening quarter lead and led 23-8 at halftime. The Mustangs never got untracked and fell 40-29.
Alaina Miller led the way for the Mustangs with eight points while Emery Spicer added seven points.
There was no report on the seventh-grade game.

At Dieterich
Dieterich and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City split victories Monday.
Dieterich was a winner in the seventh-grade contest, 16-10. The winners held a 10-6 opening half lead and had a 6-4 second half.
Claire Faller led the way for Dieterich with eight points.
CHBC was led by Elaina Thompson and Harper Lilly with four points each as the team dropped to 8-6.
In eighth-grade play, CHBC was a 20-11 winner, ripping out to an 11-2 first quarter lead.
Allison Shields led the winners with eight points while Ethel Stuckemeyer added six. The team evened its National Trail Conference mark at 5-5.
Dieterich was led by Ava Ohnesorge with four points.
In sixth-grade action, the two teams played to a 6-6 tie.
