Jasper County tallied two victories over Effingham St. Anthony in girls junior high basketball competition Tuesday.
Jasper County was a 27-14 winner in the seventh-grade contest. The Bullpups held a 4-2 opening quarter lead and the score was knotted at 8-8 at halftime. Jasper County then took off with an 8-4 third quarter run.
Wagner led Jasper County with 14 points.
St. Anthony was led by Sylvia Semple with six points.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County won 35-20. The winners held an 18-12 halftime lead.
Bergbower tallied 13 points and Brummer 12 for the winners.
St. Anthony was led by Carly Budde with 16 points.

Effingham blanked Okaw Valley 31-0 in eighth-grade action Tuesday.
The Mustangs held a 24-0 halftime lead and had a 17-0 second half.
Alaina Miller led the way for the Mustangs with nine points.

Teutopolis handed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg two losses Tuesday evening.
The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 10-0 first quarter lead in the seventh-grade game and went on for a 44-3 victory.
Rose Brummer scored 11 for the winners who improved to a perfect 7-0.
WSS was led by Maddy Manhart with three points. The team fell to 0-10.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town held a 23-17 halftime lead then had an 18-11 second half for a 41-28 win.
Ella Willenborg scored 10 for the Shoes who improved to 6-1.
WSS was led by Karly Wetherell with 17. The squad dropped to 8-2.

In eighth-grade action, Dieterich claimed a 24-10 win.
Allison Boerngen scored 12 points for the winners.
In sixth-grade play, Dieterich was a 14-4 winner. Mya Ohnesroge led the winners with 10 points.
