Spurs, Heat Open NBA Finals Tonight

(Miami, FL) -- The NBA Finals get underway tonight with Game One between the San Antonio Spurs and defending champion Heat in Miami. Led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, the Heat are in the Finals for the third straight year. They are seeking their second straight title and third overall. The Spurs are in the Finals for the first time since 2007 and are gunning for their fifth championship overall.  Behind the threesome of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, San Antonio has never lost in the Finals. After sweeping Milwaukee and ousting Chicago in five, Miami needed seven games to get by Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals. San Antonio swept the Lakers in the first round, got by Golden State in six and then swept Memphis in the West finals. The Heat beat the Spurs in both regular-season meetings.
