Following an Instagram Live video in which Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant was seen displaying what appeared to be a gun at a nightclub early Saturday morning, the NBA initiated an investigation.

Consequently, the Grizzlies announced on Saturday that Morant “will be away from the team for at least the next two games,” meaning he will miss Sunday's game against the LA Clippers and Tuesday's against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Texas Tech Suspended Men's Basketball Coach

Texas Tech has suspended men's basketball coach Mark Adams for what the school is calling an “inappropriate, unacceptable, and racially insensitive comment.”

According to the school, Adams was encouraging a player to be more receptive to coaching and “referenced Bible verses about workers, teachers, parents, and slaves serving their masters.”

Adams apologized to the team after he found out the player was upset about the use of the Bible verse.
