Class 1A, 2A State Girls Tournament Scores

The Class 1A and 2A State Girls Basketball Tournaments had three games played each at Redbird Arena in Bloomimgton/Normal Thursday.

In the Class 1A Tournament, Okawville won over Galena, 49-31 and then Christopher downed Champaign St. Thomas More, 42-28.

The third place game was then contested and Galena won over Champaign St. Thomas More, 60-48.

The championship contest will be played Saturday at 11 a.m. as Okawville and Christopher square off.

In the Class 2A State Tournament, Byron defeated Chicago Noble/Butler, 55-43 and Breese Mater Dei downed Quincy Notre Dame, 61-54.

In the third place game, Quincy Notre Dame beat Chicago Noble/Butler, 66-57.

The championship contest will be held Saturday at 12:45 p.m. with Byron against Breese Mater Dei.
