Jasper County won the championship of the Little Eastern Illinois Conference Seventh-Grade Boys Basketball Tournament Wednesday evening.

Jasper County took on Lawrenceville Parkview and was a 55-32 winner.

The champions took an 11-4 opening quarter lead and had a 25-13 second period to lead 36-17 at the half and it was only a matter of time in the game.

Chance Mulvey led the way with 12 points while Xander Wilson added 10. Ian Kessler was the leading rebounder and Maddox Homer the top defender.

Jasper County is now 17-1 on the season.
