OLNEY -- Olney handed Effingham a 52-46 loss in sophomore boys basketball Wednesday.

The Hearts held a 9-8 opening quarter lead but Olney came back to take a 22-19 halftime tally. The Hearts had a 17-15 third quarter to pull within one going into the final period. Olney then had a 15-10 run.

Meltabarger led the Hearts with 12 points while Gordon added 10.
