The Wooden Shoes edged Mattoon 28-25 in seventh-grade play. The Shoes held a 16-14 halftime lead then had an 8-3 third period.
Tucker Dhom and Will Bushur led the way for the Shoes with eight points each.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town walloped Mattoon 52-9. The Shoes held a 26-4 halftime lead.
Simon Lee tallied 11 points while Grant Roepke added 10 for the winners.

At Effingham
Effingham Sacred Heart captured a seventh-grade victory over St. Elmo/Brownstown Tuesday, 43-10.
The Shamrocks took a 12-1 opening quarter lead and had a 21-2 third period.
Mooney scored 20 points for the winners while Jansen added 10.
Gillespie led SEB with seven points.
In eighth-grade action, Sacred Heart was a 60-50 winner. The Shamrocks held a one-point lead at halftime and led 41-34 going into the final quarter.
Traub led the way with 28 points while Hecht added 19 and Warner 12 for the Shamrocks.
St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Voelker with 16 and Willms with 11.
