The Mustangs won the seventh-grade game 45-18. EJHS pushed into a 20-9 halftime lead and had a 14-5 third quarter.
Fox scored 24 to lead the Mustangs. Hayes addd eight and Kinkelaar seven.
Effingham is now 10-4 on the season.
Effingham captured the eighth-grade game 46-29. The Mustangs held a 23-13 halftime lead.
Braddy scored 22 for the winners while Santillian added six.

At Taylorville
Teutopolis competed in the Taylorville Shootout in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Saturday.
In the seventh-grade games, T-town edged Taylorville, 33-29. Payne Davidson led the way in scoring for the Shoes with 13 points while Eric Weidner added 12.
Mahomet-Seymour then won over T-town, 44-28. Davidson led with eight points while Luke Niebrugge added seven.
In eighth-grade action, Tetuopolis beat Taylorville, 49-20. T-town held an 18-5 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
Ross Bloemer led 12 players in scoring. Bloemer tallied 14 points.
In the second contest, T-town edged Mahomet-Semour, 48-45. T-town ripped out to a 25-4 opening quarter lead and led 41-27 going into the final period when Mahomet-Seymour mounted an 18-7 comeback but couldn't get over the hump.
Kendall Mette tallied 15 and Jake Kocher 11 for the Shoes.

At Altamont
South Central claimed two victories over host Altamont in Friday action.
South Central won the seventh-grade encounter, 29-22. South Central held a 19-6 halftime lead. Altamont came back with a 16-10 second half only to fall short.
Sigrist led South Central with 14 points.
Altamont was led by Durbin with 16 points.
In the eighth-grade contest, South Central had 25 halves in downing Altamont, 50-32.
Three players hit double figures for the winners. Luke Shumate tallied 15 while Westin Neilson and Sebastian Kruger scored 12 each.
Altamont was led by Buchanan with 14 points.
