The Mustangs won the seventh-grade contest, 45-29. EJHS zipped out to a 23-8 halftime lead.
Pals tallied 14 points while Fox added 13 for the winners.
Effingham improved to 8-4 on the season.
In eighth-grade competition, Effingham zipped to a 10-1 opening quarter lead and led 23-3 at halftime.
Braddy led the way for the Mustangs with 13 points.

At Taylorville
Effingham St. Anthony traveled to Taylorville and claimed an eighth-grade contest over the host squad Monday.
The Bullpups held a 25-17 halftime lead then had a 26-21 second half.
G. Wilhour led the way with 15 points while M. Waldhoff added 13 and G. Looman 10.
In the seventh-grade contest, Taylorville was a 42-25 winner.
Taylorville took a 23-12 halftime lead.
St. Anthony was led by C. Storm with seven points and J. Gannaway with six.

Teutopolis scored in the 40 point range in both games to down Tuscola Monday evening.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest, 43-21. T-town ripped out to a 16-2 opening quarter lead.
Payne Davidson led in scoring with 16 while Jake Probst added 11.
In eighth-grade action, T-town was a 48-29 winner. The Shoes led 20-17 at halftime then put the contest away with a 21-5 third quarter run.
Teagan Pals scored 20 and Ross Bloemer 10 for the Shoes.

At Martinsville
Jasper County picked up two victories over Martinsville Monday evening.
The seventh-grade squad won 46-30 with a 20-0 opening quarter lead.
Maddox Homer tallied 13 points for the winners while Eli Wolf added 11. Ian Kessler was the top rebounder.
In eighth-grade action, Jasper County scored a 37-7 win. Jasper County held a 20-4 first half lead.
Hayden Mulvey led the way with 10 points while Henry Will and Cade Clark added eight each.
Jasper County is 12-1 in seventh-grade and 6-9 in eighth-grade.

At Vandalia
Vandalia played host to South Central and picked up two victories Monday evening.
Vandalia took a 47-21 win in seventh-grade competition.
Vandalia held a 27-11 halftime lead and held South Central scoreless in the third period with a 12-0 run.
McDowell led Vandalia with 15 points while Lux added 13 and Manser 11.
South Central was led by Colton Cartright with 10 points.
In eighth-grade play, Vandalia took a 29-9 halftime lead and went on for a 52-20 victory.
Stombaugh led the winners with 21 points while Bowers added 12.
South Central was led by Westin Neilson with eight.

Dieterich handled Oblong in both seventh- and eighth-grade basketball Monday evening.
In seventh-grade play, Dieterich won 58-15. Dieterich held a 33-11 halftime lead.
Two players hit double figures for the winners. Bryce Bohnhoff tallied 21 and Ben Schottman added 10.
In eighth-grade action, Dieterich was a 54-20 winner.
Dieterich took a 28-10 halftime lead and had a 17-6 third quarter run.
Ezra Cook led the winners with 19 points while seven other players scored in the contest.
