Spurs Complete Sweep of Grizzlies

(Memphis, TN) -- Tony Parker had 37 points on 15-of-21 shooting as the Spurs secured a spot in the NBA Finals with a 93-86 win over the Grizzlies. Tim Duncan collected 15 points, eight rebounds and four blocks to help the Spurs complete a four-game sweep of the Western Conference finals. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says things could've gone differently in this series if a few plays didn't go their way.

The Spurs are appearing in the Finals for the fifth time in franchise history. They have won each of their previous four trips. Quincy Pondexter had 22 points off the bench to pace the Grizzlies. Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol combined for 27 points on 9-of-25 shooting.

Steve Clifford To Become Bobcats Head Coach

(Charlotte, NC) -- The Bobcats have once again hired a new head coach.  Yahoo! Sports reports Charlotte has tabbed Steve Clifford to take the reigns. Clifford was an assistant for the Lakers last year after spending five seasons with the Orlando Magic. He was also with the Rockets and Knicks organizations earlier in his career.
