Neoga Girls Win Twice Saturday, Boys Split

NEOGA -- The Neoga High School girls claimed two victories Saturday in the Mary Surr Thanksgiving Tournament while the boys split wins.

In girls action, Neoga trounced Chrisman, 63-15. Neoga ran off to a 42-14 halftime lead.

Two players scored in double figures for the winners. Sydney Richards tallied 14 while Alilson Worman added 11.

Neoga then defeated Georgetown-Ridge Farm, 59-20. The Indians ran out to a 25-3 opening quarter lead and led 39-4 at halftime.

S. Richards again led the way with 16 points while Worman added 10.

In a Friday conest, Neoga handed Arthur Christian a 71-29 loss. The Indians held a 44-16 halftime lead.

Brynn Richards scored 22 for the winners while S. Richards added 13.

Neoga improved to 5-0 on the season and is back in action today facing Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

In the boys Saturday games, Cisne claimed a 56-40 win over Neoga.

Cisne edged out to an 8-6 opening quarter lead then had a 17-8 run to lead 25-14 at halftime.

Neoga was led by Brady Reynolds with 16 points and Trey Sheehan with 12

The Indians then edged Georgetown-Ridge Farm, 58-55. Neoga held a 19-11 opening quarter lead and led 34-31 at halftime. Neoga still had a 41-38 edge going into the final quarter. Georgetown-Ridge Farm then made a 17-10 run but fell short.

Neoga was led by Quintin Richards with 26 points and Reynolds with 12.
