BROWNSTOWN -- Teutopolis and Brownstown/St. Elmo split victories in girls junior high basketball action Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes remained unbeaten in the seventh-grade game with a 26-13 win.

T-town held a 12-4 halftime lead and had a 10-5 third quarter run. Avery Probst led the way with six points. The Shoes are now 7-0 on the season.

Brownstown/St. Elmo was led by Barker with nine points.

In the eighth-grade contest, BSE handed T-town its first loss with a 34-30 victory.

T-town led 8-7 after the opening quarter but BSE came back with an 8-2 second period to lead 15-10 at halftime. The Shoes pulled within 23-21 going into the final period but BSE got back on track with an 11-9 run for the win.

Two players hit double figures for BSE. Haslett led the way with 18 points while Miller tallied 10.

T-town was led by Elise Pals with eight and Jersey Gaddis with seven. The Shoes drop to 6-1.
