The Mustangs held Okaw Valley scoreless in the first half, taking an 18-0 lead and easily won the seventh-grade contest, 33-7.
Spicer tallied 12 to lead the winners.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham won 26-20. The Mustangs edged out to an 8-6 opening quarter lead and led 12-10 at halftime. Okaw Valley came back with a 6-3 third quarter to pull ahead 16-15 but the Mustangs came back with an 11-4 final period to claim the victory.
Macy Kirk tallied nine points while Cailin Ohnesorge scored eight.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis found its latest victim in Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest, 33-14 taking a 19-2 opening half lead. Taylor McMahon scored 14 for the winners who improve to 6-0.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Wittenberg with six points.
In eighth-grade play, T-town led 11-9 at halftime but WSS tied at 13-13 going into the final quarter. T-town then had a 7-5 final period to pull out the 20-18 victory.
Gabby Tegeler led the way for the Shoes with six points as the team also stands at 6-0. Hayes led WSS with six.
