Knicks Avoid Elimination

(New York, NY) -- The Knicks avoided elimination last night with an 85-75 victory over the Pacers in Game Five of their Eastern Conference semifinals. Indiana is still up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 28 points in the win. Game Six is in Indianapolis on Saturday.

 

Spurs Advance Past Warriors

(Oakland, CA) -- The Spurs are into the Western Conference finals for the second straight season after dropping the Warriors 94-82 in Game Six of their West semifinals. Tim Duncan had a team-high 19 points for San Antonio, which plays the Memphis Grizzlies for a spot in the NBA Finals. The Grizzlies defeated the Spurs in the first round of the 2010-11 postseason.

 

Maloofs Sell Kings To Sacramento Group

(Sacramento, CA) -- The Sacramento Kings have a new owner. According to the "Sacramento Bee," the Maloofs have sold the NBA franchise to a local group. The deal is worth a reported 535-million-dollars. The transaction comes one day after the NBA voted against the Kings to be relocated and sold to a Seattle investor.
