The Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi scored 30 points in her team’s 90-80 win over the Los Angeles Sparks  Thursday night, becoming the first WNBA player ever to score 30 or more points at age 40 or older.

Taurasi, who turned 40 last month, also jointed NBA greats Michael Jordan and Dirk Nowitzki as only the third player to do it in NBA and WNBA history.'

No Agreements Have Been Finalized

One day after Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the U.S. has offered a deal to bring WNBA star Brittney Griner and another American imprisoned by Russia, Paul Whelan, home, with reports saying the U.S. offered to swap convicted Russian arms deal Viktor Bout, the Kremlin said such exchanges need to be negotiated quietly.

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “We know that such issues are discussed without any such release of information. Normally, the public learns about it when the agreements are already implemented.” Peskov also said, “no agreements have been finalized.”
