Schuette Signs with Illinois Central College

Soon-to-be St. Anthony High School graduate Jacob Schuette Monday signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Illinois Central College.

Schuette, the son of Todd and Lisa Schuette, will play for former Fighting Illini basketball star Tony Wysinger at Illinois Central, located in East Peoria.  Wysinger has averaged 19 wins in his more than a dozen seasons at Illinois Central and said Monday he feels the incoming squad can top 20 wins.

Schuette said he spoke with a few schools including Olivet Nazarene and McKendree but felt a kinship with the coaches and players at Illinois Central and that was behind his decision.  Here's our conversation with Jacob Schuette...
