Altamont, South Central Advance To Title Game

South Central edged Cisne, 47-44 in the opener.
The Runnin' Lions held a 15-14 opening quarter lead as Aden Atwood nailed three trifectas and a regular basket for 11 of his team's 15 points.
South Central came back to knot the score at 22-22 at halftime. Ethan Watwood scored five points while Keenin Willshire hit a three-pointer.
The Cougars then had a 14-13 third period to lead 36-35 going into the final quarter. From there, South Central had an 11-9 run for the three-point win.
Willshire led in scoring with 18 points on seven field goals that included two three-pointers and two of two at the line. Also in double figures was Dodson with 12.
Altamont downed Dieterich, 51-37 in the second contest.
The Indians edged out to a 10-6 opening quarter lead as Tyler Robbins connected on a three-pointer and Mason Robinson put in two baskets. Andrew Lidy scored a three-pointer and Bryce Budde tallied three for the Movin' Maroons.
The Indians started to stretch their lead with a 19-11 second period for a 29-17 halftime tally. Robinson scored eight points in the quarter and Avery Jahraus produced a three-pointer.
Dietreich came back with a 16-11 third period to pull within 40-33. Budde knocked in two three-pointers, a regular basket and a free throw for nine of his team's total points while Pete Britton connected for seven points.
But Altamont came back with an 11-4 final period to put the game on ice.
Robinson was the lone player in double figures for the winners with 18 on seven of 12 from the field, one a three-pointer, and one of three from the line. He also pulled down five rebounds. Eight other players scored in the contest for the Indians. Robbins also had five rebounds and finished with four assists as did Noah Klimpel.
Dieterich was led by Budde with 12 and Britton with 11. Budde and Luke Westendorf had five rebounds each. Lidy had four assists.
South Central advances to the championship game with a 25-7 record and will meet Altamont with a 26-6 record at 7 p.m. Friday for the regional crown.
