Area Teams ranked In AP Prep Polls

Three area boys basketball teams are ranked in the Illinois Associated Press prep polls.

In Class 1A, Yorkville Christian is ranked as the top team with an 18-13 record.

Altamont stands at 10th with a 25-6 record followed by St. Anthony 11th with a 19-12 mark and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg stands 12th with a 24-6 record.

Leading the Class 2A poll is Chicago Leo at 21-4. Breese Central is 10th at 26-5 and Breese Mater Dei is 14th at 19-11.

Chicago Simeon is the top team in Class 3A with a 23-5 mark. Centralia is 12th at 26-3 and Mount Carmel 15th at 26-4.

The Class 4A poll has been dominated by Glenbard West with a 30-1 record.
