Dieterich 58, North Clay 42 (this was a two-point game after one quarter with Dieterich leading 18-16, but a 17-8 second quarter gave the Movin Maroons a 35-24 lead at halftime and Dieterich had extended that lead to 46-32 by the end of three quarters; a 12-10 margin in the fourth quarter gave Dieterich the 16-point win; North Clay had won the two previous meetings between the two clubs; freshman Luke Westendorf led Dieterich with 17 points, while Pete Britton and Bryce Budde scored 12 points apiece, and Andrew Lidy scored 11 points; Caleb Gephart scored the other six Dieterich points; Dakota Weidner led North Clay with 13 points; the Cardinals' leading scorer Logan Fleener battled an ankle injury through the second half and finished with nine points; also for the Cardinals: Bryton Griffy 8, Collyn Ballard and Alex Boose 5 each, and Layton Dawkins 2; Dieterich improved to 19-10 on the season and will head home for semifinal action Wednesday at 6pm; North Clay ends their season at 13-18 and says goodbye to seniors Collyn Ballard, Bryton Griffy, Dakota Weidner, Layton Dawkins, Gabe Applegate and Ely VanDyke)
