South Central Edges North Clay, ALAH Downs C'land

The Cougars stepped out to a 21-14 opening quarter lead as Ethan Watwood nailed a trio of three-pointers while Spencer Johannes knocked in one.
But the Cardinals came back with a 13-9 second period run to pull within 30-27 at halftime. Logan Fleener scored six points in the quarter while Alex Boose and Levi Smith scored a three-pointer each.
North Clay continued its run with a 20-16 third period to pull ahead 47-46 going into the final quarter.
Fleener scored 11 of his team's 20 points in the quarter while Boose added five. Keenin Willshire kept the Cougars close with seven points while Aidan Dodson added five.
In the final quarter, South Central found the momentum again with a 13-10 period. Watwood scored eight points while Johannes contributed two baskets and Willshire a free throw.
Watwood finished with 23 points on eight field goals that included six three-pointers and was one of two at the line. Willshire tallied 14.
North Clay was led by Fleener with 28 points on 13 field goals, two of those three-pointers. Boose nailed five three-pointers in the contest and was two of two at the line for 17.
South Central improved to 23-7 overall.
North Clay was a winner in the junior varsity game, 40-38. Trey Wells and Kuenstler led the way with 12 points each.
South Central was led by Anthony Buonaura with 10 and Max Magnus with nine.
The Cougars tallied a 24-23 victory in a freshman/sophomore contest. Markley, Magnus and Jones scored six points each for the winners. North Clay was led by Hosselton with eight and Kuenstler with seven.

At Toledo
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond took the lead and never relented in a 53-44 win over Cumberland Wednesday evening.
ALAH took a 21-16 opening quarter lead as five players scored. The Knights held a 32-24 halftime lead and led 46-36 going into the final quarter. Cumberland came back with an 8-7 final period.
The Pirates had only one player in double figures. Wiley Peters led the way with 11 points. Trevin Magee added eight points.
