Dieterich Wins In OT; Altamont, T-town, N. Clay, WSS, CHBC Victorious

The Movin' Maroons edged out to a 20-17 opening quarter lead but SEB came back to tie the score at 32-32 at halftime. Dieterich moved ahead with a 14-10 third period but, once again, the Eagles came back in the final period to knot the score at 54-54 sending the game into overtime.
In the overtime period, Dieterich scored eight points, all on free throws, while holding SEB to one three-pointer.
Bryce Budde led the way for the Maroons with 27 points on seven field goals, four of those three-pointers, and nine of 14 at the line. Andrew Lidy chipped in with 15 while Luke Westendorf added 12.
SEB was led by Gavyn Smith with 20 and Caleb Campbell with 17. Smith had 13 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Brady Maxey led in assists with nine and led in steals with four. Adam Atwood had a blocked shot.

At Altamont
Altamont handed Flora a 45-41 non-conference loss Tuesday.
The Indians held a 13-4 opening quarter lead as Noah Klimpel knocked in two three-pointers. Altamont held a 21-16 halftime lead but Flora came back and knotted the score at 30-30 going into the final period.
Altamont then stepped to the line and nailed 10 free throws in the final quarter and Klimpel connected on another three-pointer for the four-point win.
Klimpel finished with 20 on five field goals, four of those from three-point range, and six of seven at the line.
Altamont also claimed the junior varsity game, 51-27. Leading Altamont were Avery Jahraus with 14, Alec Jahraus with 11 and Kaidyn Miller with 10.

Teutopolis came through with a big second half to pull out a 38-34 victory over host Newton Tuesday evening.
The Eagles held a 16-11 halftime lead. T-town then had a 16-10 third period and outscored Newton 11-8 in the final quarter.
Brendan Niebrugge led the way for the Shoes with 16 points while Caleb Siemer added 12. The Wooden Shoes improved to 17-7.
Newton was led by Evan Schafer with 12 points and Ben Meinhart with nine. The Eagles dropped to 14-8.

North Clay (Louisville) hosted Neoga and sent the Indians home with a 56-51 loss Tuesday.
Neoga held a 26-18 halftime lead and led 40-32 going into the final period. North Clay then got untracked and went on a 24-11 final period surge to pull out the victory.
Three Cardinals ended in double digits. Alex Boose led the way with 16 points while Dakota Weidner and Bryton Griffy tallied 13 each.
Noega was led by Paci McClure with 24 and Brady Reynolds with 14.
North Clay also claimed the junior varsity game, 27-25. North Clay was led by Ethan Kuenstler with 10.

At Strasburg
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg edged Pana, 51-49 in Tuesday evening action.
The Hatchets took a 24-20 halftime lead. Pana came back with a 19-13 third period run to move ahead 39-37. But WSS had a 14-10 final period for the victory.
Austin Wittenberg led the way for the Hatchets with 16 points while Jordan Wittenberg added 12.
Windsor/Stew-Stras improved to 20-5 on the season.
Pana was a winner in junior varsity play, 50-42.

CHBC held a 17-11 opening quarter lead as Clayton Wojcik scored seven points. The lead went to 41-15 at halftime as Jadon Robertson put together 12 points while Silas Buzzard added eight.
Mulberry Grove came back with a 24 second half points but it was too little, too late.
CHBC was led by Robertson with 29 points on 10 field goals, three trifectas, and six of 11 at the line. Also in double figures were Wojcik and Kade Persinger with 11 each.
