THIS DAY IN NATIONAL TRAIL CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT HISTORY

• Jan. 25, 1978—A quarterfinal game between No. 2 Effingham St. Anthony and No. 8 St. Elmo is postponed until January 27 because of inclement weather. 

• Jan. 25, 1989—No. 7 Cowden-Herrick puts six players in double figures and defeats No. 3 Brownstown, 84-62, in quarterfinal play. 

• Jan. 25, 2008—No. 6 St. Elmo notches a 61-51 victory over No. 2 Teutopolis in the semifinals, behind 21 points from Wade Nevergall, 13 from Richard Waterman, and 12 from Colton Booher. 

• Jan. 25, 2010—In a play-in game, No. 7 Brownstown edges No. 10 Beecher City, 60-58, on a tip-in by Zach Rigdon at the buzzer. 

• Jan. 25, 2012—A quarterfinal game between No. 3 St. Anthony and No. 6 Stewardson-Strasburg goes to a tournament record four overtimes, before St. Anthony secures a 75-73 victory. Mitchell Dust and Reed Willenborg combine for 56 points and 31 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs, while Stew-Stras gets 32 points from Nick Ferris.
