T-town Falls At Highland Tourney, LIC, Lincoln Prairie Tourney Scores

The Wooden Shoes had opened with a 59-24 win over Collinsville Saturday. The Shoes then fell to O'Fallon, 49-35 in Monday evening action.

O'Fallon edged out to a 13-11 opening quarter lead and led 22-16 at halftime. O'Fallon then went on a 21-4 third quarter run and that sealed the victory despite T-town coming back with a 16-6 final period.

T-town's leading scorer was Isabella Hardiek with eight. Kaitlyn Schumacher led in rebounds with eight. Hardiek had three steals. Grace Tegeler led in assists with four. Zoe Cremens had two blocked shots.

In other games Monday, Okawville won over Triad 43-23 in winner bracket play while Belleville West downed Salem 61-31 and Collinsville won over Hillsboro 54-42 in consolation bracket action.

T-town drops into the consolation bracket and will face Triad at 5 p.m. Thursday for the right to advance to the fifth place contest.

Little Illini Conference Tournament

Only one game was contested in the Little Illini Conference Tournament Monday evening.

Lawrenceville downed Casey-Westfield, 48-19.

Lawrenceville advances to meet Newton at 6 p.m. Wednesday in consolation bracket play. In the other contest Wednesday, Mount Carmel faces Red HIll (Bridgeport) at 7:30.

In tonight's games, Paris meets Robinson at 6 p.m. followed by Marshall taking on Olney at 7:30 in winner bracket play. The winner advances to the championship game.

Lincoln Prairie Conference Tournament

Four games were contested in the Lincoln Prairie Conference Tournament Monday.

In winner bracket action, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond defeated Villa Grove 56-16 while Tri-County won over Decatur LSA 59-17. ALAH will now meet Cerro-Gordo/Bement at 6 p.m. Thursday. Tri-County will take on Cumberland Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

In consolation bracket play, Arcola downed Blue Ridge 60-12. The other contest featured Okaw Valley against Argenta-Oreana, no score was reported.
