Martinsville Edges St. Elmo/Brownstown

MARTINSVILLE -- Martinsville High School hosted St. Elmo/Brownstown in a boys basketball contest Monday evening and edged the Eagles, 55-52.

SEB held a 15-12 opening quarter lead but Martinsville had an 11-8 second period to tie the score at halftime, 23-23. The Bluestreaks then had a 21-11 third period to lead 44-34. SEB came back with an 18-11 final quarter only to fall short.

The Eagles had two players in double figures. Caleb Campbell led the way with 15 points while Brady Maxey chipped in with 13. Adam Atwood led in rebounds with eight. Campbell had three assists, three steals and one blocked shot.

SEB dropped to 10-8 on the season.
